The report analyses 194 ACE-funded projects involving AI and creative practice from 2019 to 2025, finding that practitioners are predominantly using AI as a subject of inquiry and ethical experimentation rather than as a passive production tool. It is the largest longitudinal public dataset on AI in UK creative practice and directly informs ACE's funding position on AI-related projects.
